Payment & Capture Consent

This is a data-contribution program. You record short, first-person ("egocentric") video of everyday tasks you already do — dishes, laundry, tidying, cooking — which is licensed to AI and robotics labs to help train household robots. You record and submit your clips through a capture partner's app; StreamGenie is your partner in the program and the party that pays you.

StreamGenie is operated by Diffraction, Inc. — "StreamGenie," "we," and "us" in this agreement mean Diffraction, Inc. Taking part is entirely voluntary and you can stop at any time. You are an independent contributor, not an employee of StreamGenie or of any buyer.

• You are 18 years of age or older.
• You are based in the United States and record in the United States.
• You own or control the location where you record, or have permission to record there.

• You are paid $6 for every approved hour of footage — stated per approved hour, not per hour recorded.
• After your first 6 approved hours, you receive a one-time $15 bonus — paid whether or not you needed to buy a head-mount. This is a limited-time bonus and may be reduced or withdrawn at any time.
• After your first 10 approved hours, a bonus of $2 per approved hour is added on top.
• An hour is eligible for approval when you perform a listed task with good lighting, your hands in frame, and the head-mount worn as instructed. Ordinary trimming at the start and end of a clip is normal.
• Approval decisions are made by the capture partner and its client. StreamGenie relies on their reports and determinations when calculating what you are owed.
• You are paid monthly: everything you earn in a calendar month is paid together the following month, with the goal of paying everyone by the end of the 7th day. Payments go to the PayPal email on your account — keep it current; it is the only way we can pay you.
• We may limit the number of hours accepted from any one contributor, and the set of qualifying tasks may change over time.
• There is no minimum guaranteed payment. You are paid only for hours that are approved.
• If you believe a payment is missing or wrong, email support@diffraction.agency within 30 days of the payment (or the date you expected it) and we will look into it.

You may only record the everyday tasks described in the program, performed by you, in a place you control. Please review each clip on your device before you upload it.

• Each clip must be at least one minute and no longer than 30 minutes. You may record the same task as often as you genuinely perform it — recording your dishes every night, or vacuuming every day, is fine.
• You decide what is in frame. Any room or space you would rather not film, do not film — and keep the camera on the task itself.
• Do not record children or anyone under 18, and keep them out of frame.
• Do not record screens, mail or documents, license plates, cards or ID, other people’s copyrighted material, faces of the public, or anything you do not have the right to share.
• Do not fake, re-play, or stage work you did not actually do — this is fraud and results in rejection and removal.

You are responsible for the privacy of anyone who lives with you or is present while you record. Only record when the people around you know and agree, and keep anyone who has not agreed out of frame. If you cannot record without capturing someone who has not consented, do not record.

When a clip is approved, it is licensed to the buyer to train AI and robotics systems. You will not retain rights to use, sell, or license submitted footage after it is submitted, and you will not receive royalties or other payment beyond the per-approved-hour rate above. Participation is opt-in and you choose what and when to record.

StreamGenie enrolls you into this program, pays you, and is the party through which your contributions are licensed onward. The capture partner and its app are the means by which your footage is collected and delivered — your participation runs through StreamGenie as the originating and licensing party.

• You agree that StreamGenie may identify you to the capture partner and to any buyer as a contributor enrolled through StreamGenie, and may administer your enrollment and payment on that basis.
• If you also create an account directly with the capture partner, that account and the contributions you make through it remain associated with your StreamGenie enrollment for the purposes of this agreement.
• While you take part through StreamGenie, you agree not to circumvent StreamGenie’s role in this program — for example, by moving work you were introduced to through the program into a direct arrangement with the capture partner or a buyer. This does not restrict anything you were already doing before you enrolled, and it ends when you stop taking part.

To record and submit, you will finish setup in our capture partner’s app and accept its separate Contributor Agreement and privacy policy there. Those terms govern the app and how your footage is collected and stored; this document governs how StreamGenie pays you and how you agree to record.

You are an independent contributor. You are responsible for your own taxes on what you earn, and we may ask for tax information before paying. Nothing here creates an employment, partnership, or agency relationship.

We handle your account and payout information under our Privacy Policy. We never ask for your PayPal password, bank login, or any card number — payouts go to the PayPal email you provide, and never in crypto.

We may update these terms as the program develops. Material changes will be posted on this page and apply to work you do after they take effect. The version you accept is recorded with your acceptance.
